Maxim Malaysia Launches "Zero-Cost PSV" Initiative, Fully Covering License Fees for New E-Hailing Drivers

Maxim Malaysia, one of the leading e-hailing service providers,  announced an initiative to fully subsidize the cost of the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license for all new driver-partners. The "Zero-Cost PSV" program is created to remove the financial barrier for aspiring drivers, supporting them from the very start of their e-hailing journey.

In compliance with Malaysian e-hailing regulations, all new e-hailing drivers must complete a PSV course and pass a medical check-up at a certified driving institute. This mandatory process, which ensures drivers are properly trained and medically fit for passenger safety, typically costs around RM250 and takes one to two weeks to complete.

To alleviate this upfront cost, Maxim Malaysia will reimburse the full amount of the PSV and medical check-up fees to new drivers upon submission of their official receipt to a Maxim representative. The reimbursement will be sent directly into the driver’s Taxsee Driver in the form of bonuses.

This balance provides practical value. New drivers can begin taking orders on the Maxim platform after receiving EVP license without commission fees, as the platform's commission will be automatically deducted from their account balance. This allows drivers to retain 100% of their earnings until the credited amount is used, effectively giving them a commission-free head start.

"We believe in empowering our driver-partners from day one. The PSV license is a non-negotiable standard for safety and professionalism in our industry, protecting both passengers and drivers. By removing the financial hurdle, we are not only easing the onboarding process but also investing in the growth and success of our partners. Our goal is to make starting an e-hailing career as seamless and supportive as possible,"  said Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim Malaysia.

Beyond covering costs, Maxim also provides comprehensive assistance to help drivers obtain their PSV license. This includes guiding them step-by-step throughout the registration process, conducting educational sessions on road safety and passenger care, and collaborating with certified driving schools to ensure drivers have easy access to training. Through these efforts, Maxim not only reduces the financial burden but also empowers new partner drivers with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed as professional e-hailing drivers.

This initiative underscores Maxim's commitment to fostering a sustainable and attractive earning environment. By reducing the initial financial pressure, the company hopes to encourage more Malaysians to explore e-hailing as a viable and rewarding profession, thereby also expanding its network of qualified, compliant drivers to better serve the community.
